Trading FOREX Pairs NeverLossTrading Style

Forex trading, or foreign exchange trading, is buying and selling currencies in the global market. We share an outlook and concept of how to find and act on high-probability price turning points as a day trader, swing trader, or longer-term investor.

Forex is the world’s largest and most volatile market, with hundreds of currency combinations.

To simplify things, here are the ten favorite NLT FOREX pairs with real-time data streams we keep in focus:

As a FOREX trader, you want to know about global economic events, and here is an overview of weekly news day by day.

By selecting flexible lot sizes, FOREX of all assets offers the highest flexibility to adjust your trading risk and strive for exceptional returns.

How to adjust the lot size?

Imagine you trade for a 400-tick price change, and one tick is worth $1 on a 100,000 lot; at a 50:50 risk to reward, you would risk $400 to make $400. However, if you traded a 10,000 lot, you only risked $40 to make $40. Most brokers allow flexible lot sizes: a 1.5 lot would represent $150,000 of a standard currency.

Depending on where your account is established, brokers reserve a margin between 1:50 (USA) to 1:200 (EU, e.g.) for each FOREX trade. This means: a 100,000 lot, at $1 per tick, can be managed with a $500 or $2,000 margin reserved for each trade. In addition, many brokers allow you to open parallel long and short positions for the same instrument, which allows for trade repair methods we teach in our mentorships: instead of taking the stop-loss, you adjust the trade. The method of trade repair gave us our brand name; however, never stop loss trading was a bit lengthy.

Currencies are always traded in pairs because when you buy or sell one currency, you automatically sell or buy another. Every currency pair has a base currency and a quote currency – the base currency appears first, and the quote currency is to the right of it.

The price displayed for a currency pair represents the amount of the quote currency you will need to spend to purchase one unit of the base currency.

For example, in the EUR/USD currency pair, EUR is the base currency, and USD is the quote currency. If the quoted price was 1.1000, one euro is worth 1.10 US dollars.

The above table mentions the tick value change and value for a 100,000-unit contract. Tick value is the amount of money gained or lost for each incremental movement in the price of an asset. In the context of forex trading, tick value is used to calculate a trade’s profit or loss based on the trade’s size and the number of pips (price increments) gained or lost.

The exchange rate and the trade’s size determine a FOREX tick value. For example, the tick value of a standard lot (100,000 units) of EUR/USD is $1 per pip: meaning that for every pip gained or lost in the price of EUR/USD, the trader would either gain or lose $1, depending on whether they are buying or selling the pair.

Traders need to understand the tick value of the assets they are trading, as it can help them manage their risk and determine their potential profit or loss on a trade. By calculating the tick value, traders can also determine the appropriate position size for their trades based on their risk tolerance and account size.

In a currency pair, the first currency listed is the base currency, and the second is the quote currency

We specify three different types of Forex pairs:

  • Majors
  • Commodity currencies
  • Cross currencies

Major currencies fulfill the highest number of transactions. Therefore, considering access to data streams and bid/ask spreads, we list AUD/JPY, AUD/USD, EUR/USD, GBP/USD, EUR/GBP, USD/JPY, USD/CHF, and USD/CAD.

Commodity currencies constitute currency pairs that have a value closely tied to a commodity, such as oil, coal, or iron ore. The commodity currencies included in this list are AUD/USD and USD/CAD.

Cross currencies are currency pairs that do not include the US dollar. Two cross-currency pairs with high involvement are EUR/GBP and EUR/JPY.

EUR/USD is the most traded currency pair, with EUR/USD a participation rate of 24.0% of daily forex trades. The high daily volume of EUR/USD transactions ensures that the pair has a lot of liquidity which generally results in tight spreads. Liquidity and tight spreads are enticing for traders because large trades transact with little impact on the market.

Time-based candles can extend above and beyond the system-set maximum risk/reward balance. To cope with this, we developed the NLT Timeless Concept, which only looks at incremental price changes and disregards time.

EUR/USD Timeless NLT Day Trading Chart

The chart shows multiple trade examples, consisting of:

  • Buy/sell price threshold for setting order entries
  • Dots on the chart signify the target
  • The stop is at a red crossbar
  • Colored channels signify the time of the day supply and demand price levels

We teach the details in our training program.

The advantages of NLT Timeless Trading are:

  • You act at high probability price turning points, not apparent to most market participants.
  • Candles form by system-defined price increments. When a specified price increment concludes, a new candle starts. This way, you are not trading at apparent support and resistance levels and are much less predictable.
  • Every trade indication is acceptable with a pre-specified risk-to-reward level, bringing the odds in your favor
  • You have the chance to trade multiple times during a day, either with a slower and a faster pace price change
  • We offer two chart types for day traders fast pace and regular pace. In addition, swing traders and longer-term investors are provided with timeless charts, helping them to cut higher price moves into risk-adequate units.
  • When trading the market, you do not want to be transparent in your acting, and we are helping you to trade along with significant price moves but always risk adequately.

We could add more advantages, but following the Pareto principle, what we shared covers 80%. FOREX trading has no fees, but to cover the bid/ask spread of the trade, our timeless system provides a solid concept that allows entering a trade at a specific threshold, where risk and reward can be entered at the click. Here is an example of EUR/USD fast pace trade on an NLT Timeless Chart. Trades lasted two to twelve minutes.

Please feel invited to check if you could have followed the indicated directional price move proposal.

If you took a mechanical approach,  you had eight trading opportunities, and seven worked in the supported direction.

Our students also learn that the less trading is more concept is – = +, where you strive for a set weekly budget.

If trading were easy, nobody would ever go to work; however, we work with our students on mental and emotional changes toward financial decisions. A life-changing experience is ahead of you. First, however, please consider what Albert Einstein shared with us: Insanity is when you do the same over, expecting a different result. Hence, if you are ready for a change, set up a demo:

Indeed, our concept works for all asset classes; we picked FOREX in this publication today; however, you can find other examples at Blogger or WordPress.

EUR/USD Timeless Swing Trading Chart

Swing trading EUR/USD, we hold open positions between one and five days and follow the same chart principles. Please check the most recent price move indications and decide if they indicated critical price turning points, where the dot on the chart works as a target and the red crossbar as a stop.

We teach you in one-on-one sessions how to master our concepts, and you learn to analyze trade situations on the spot by letting the chart tell when to buy or sell.

Trading requires an investment in knowledge and skills. Therefore, we offer software and training programs ranging from $2,500 to $15,000. Many NLT clients buy more than one program to increase participation rate and accuracy; however, each program works as a stand-alone or in conjunction with another.

Trading success requires discipline, patience, and a solid, high-probability system. It is also crucial to have a well-defined trading plan and to stick to it, even when the market gets volatile.

NeverLossTrading is a trading education and software company that aims to help traders improve their performance and profitability in the financial markets by:

Return on Risk in Trading

Summary: Successful traders bring risk and reward in a meaningful balance to produce long-term income from the financial market—experience how this can be done by reading on.

What is your return on risk (RoR)?

Yes, you read right, return on risk, not capital. However, let us compare the two formulas:

  • Return on Capital (ROC) = Profit / The Invested Capital
  • Return on Risk (RoR) = Expected Profit / Assumed maximum Risk

Do you see the big difference between the two?

Return on Risk by NeverLossTrading

ROC takes past data and compares the outcome of the business or trading endeavor and reports in Hindside how things were.

By calculating RoR, you forecast two dimensions:

  • A forecast of the expected profit means that you or your system must specify the desired outcome of each trade and its probability.
  • Forecast the maximum expected risk to take to bring the trade to target without getting stopped.

Boiling it down: as a trader, you are a probability thinker, and you only put your money at risk when there is a high probable chance for it to produce the desired return. Still, this does not help you define how much risk you can accept and assume its probability.

We work with high probability algorithmic setups and aim for an attainment rate or probability of winning ≥ 65%.

So now, let us make a simple breakeven calculation of the maximum risk you can take in a trade when your expected outcome or profit is $1 at a 65% chance of winning.

Breakeven =Winning – Losing= 0
Breakeven =$1 * 0.65 – 0.35 * Max Risk= 0
Max Risk =$1 * 0.65 / 0.35= $1.86
Return on Risk Formula

What does $1.86 mean for you as a trader?

When you operate with a 65% winning system, your max risk to accept is 1.86-times the reward, but you only reach breakeven at this point.

We casually advise our clients to accept a maximum of 1.2  to 1.3-times risk per dollar expected reward. Hence, when you operate with a high probability system and dedicate yourself to following this rule, you have an edge as a retail trader to produce constant income from the financial markets.

The biggest problem is how to specify the dollar target of a trade?

A general maximum principle of achieving a maximum output for a minimum risk does not work in trading, as it does not work in economics either:

  • You calculate an economic maximum by taking a base resource and calculating the output you can achieve by evaluating alternatives.
  • A financial minimum specifies a given output and calculates the choice with the lowest resource usage.

For trading, this means:

  • Know and understand your system probability. Unfortunately, most retail traders work with systems or ideas far from high probability and celebrate their random wins.
  • Let your system define the expected output of the trade and check if the setup allows for operating with an adequate risk gauge to bring the trade to target.

Why is there a risk gauge?

Price change has a natural statistical distribution, and when you set too tight stops, you get stopped before bringing your trade to target.

In case of wide stops, like 2-times profit, you risk too much, and you will not make long-term money.

It sounds like you are between a rock and a hard place.

Yes, trading is not easy, but it is learnable.

Let your system and chart tell when to buy or sell and trade what you see, not what you assume.

The price change results from a shift in supply and demand. Thus, a system can measure those and extrapolate how far a price movement most likely expands: This is precisely what our indicators and algorithms calculate and share on the chart with you.

Yes, trading is a numbers game, and you better comply with what works more often to come to profitability. The driver of your P&L is trading with the odds in your favor: Here is the price move model we follow, and it considers all we said above:

NeverLossTrading Price Move Model

NeverLossTrading Price Move Model

Theory: Key asset holders will have a solid need to re-balance their inventories. Thus, at a particular price expansion, they will either float- or shorten supply, which will result in an opposite directional price move that will then take away from our profits. Knowing this, we pre-calculate how far the expected price move will reach, and there we take profit,  assuming it will retrace or reverse after.

Hence, we let the market and institutions appraise the asset price journey and latch on, entering and exiting positions faster than institutions can.

Our brand name derives from the concept of repairing a trade instead of accepting a stop loss; however, Never Stop Loss Trading was a bit lengthy.

TradeColors.com is our introductory system to high probability trading. We always allow for upgrades; you only pay the difference if you start with TradeColors.com and upgrade after.

Many of our clients purchase more than one system: Our systems are productivity tools, and by combining them, you produce a higher participation rate and higher returns.

NLT System Index Productivity Comparison
NeverLossTrading System Productivity Compared

Our tool to calculate the expected price move to target is the SPU = Speed Unit, and it indicates how far a price move shall reach until it comes to an end.

With our systems, you can operate with conditional buy-stop and sell-stop OCO orders (one-cancels-the-other). Without the need to be in front of your computer for the orders to execute. You enter by price thresholds, ensuring that other market participants have the same directional assumption as you do and exit at the SPU target or adjust the trade at the stop.

NeverLossTrading SPU Move Indicator Explained

By a change in the frequency and amplitude of the price movement over time, we specify indications to act on high probability price turning points, applying mechanical rules rather than leaving room for interpretation.

We cover all asset classes: Stocks, Options, Futures, FOREX.

As a retail trader, you have multiple opportunities for:

  • Day trading (opening and closing positions the same day)
  • Swing trading (holding position for multiple days)
  • Longer-term investing (holding positions for weeks and months)

You can act with a high probability price move model on key price turning points based on clearly defined risk-limiting strategies.

With the help of our systems, we help retail traders to decide at trade entry for the  five significant challenges they face to prevent the common mistakes often made:

  • Trade entry decisions (when to trade)
  • Exit decisions (where to take profit)
  • Stops (where to place them)
  • Maximum time in a trade (specified by the signal)
  • Risk to reward (only trade at favorable setups)

We are happy to hear back from you.

Volatility in the financial markets is up, and time-based price moves bury a higher risk than before. So we developed the NeverLossTrading Timeless Concept, where we dissect hefty potential price moves into sub increments to reduce the risk unit per trade. Here are some examples of what our system can do for you as a day trader or swing trader.

  1.  Stock Examples

By the NLT Timeless Concept, instead of drawing price happening over time, we trade for price changes and with that prevent long candles with unfavorable risk-reward setups:

AAPL NLT Timeless Trend Catching Chart, Jan. 24, 2022

AAPL on the NeverLossTrading Timeless Chart

A price threshold is formulated for every trade situation: buy > and sell <. This way, you can operate with buy-stop and sell-stop orders and only enter a trade when the threshold is surpassed in the price movement of the next candle. When you add up winning and losing trades, you see an example of high probability trading where we strive for winning 65% and above.

The chart shows a pure mechanical appraisal where every situation is traded. In the mentorship, you will learn the rules of how to pick higher over the lower probable cases.

Let us now take a time-based example for swing trading: holding a position between one and ten days.

AAPL NLT Daily Trend Catching Chart, Jan./Feb., 2022

AAPL on the NeverLossTrading Trend Catching Chart

The chart shows multiple situations from January 4 to February 9, 2022, where it reads no trade: A signal spelled out a trading opportunity; however, the direction was not confirmed in the price movement of the next candle and such, no trade got accepted.

If you trade from an IRA, you would not be able to follow the short signals on the chart (SEC regulations do not allow short selling in IRAs). However, we teach appropriate Options trading strategies that you can profit from when stock prices fall.

  •  Futures Trading

The E-Mini S&P 500 Futures contract is an instrument many retail and professional traders operate with. Hence, let us pick a day trading situation and a longer-term trade setup:

NLT Timeless Trend Catching Chart for the E-Mini S&P 500

E-Mini S&P 500 Futures Contract on the NLT Timeless Day Trading Chart

The chart shows multiple buy or sell opportunities:

  • Each opportunity formulates as a buy > or sell < a system-defined price threshold, allowing you to enter the trade direction only when the direction is confirmed.
  • Each price change ends at the target (dot on the chart) or the red cross line, indicating where to stop.
  • The system probability is ≥ 65%. The difference of entry to stop is about 1.2-times the difference of entry to the target. In the chosen example, entry to target was $350 and such the risk was $420. Adding up three trades: two winners ($700) and one losing trade ($420), gives you a positive expectation of $280 per contract on a set of three trades.

From left to right, you see:

  • A trade to the downside, breaking the price containment NLT Box and coming to target: gray dot.
  • Two trades with “No Trade” indication: on the first trade, the target was cut short by a box line – no trade. The second signal was not confirmed.
  • What follows are two winning trades that came to target.
  • Then two “No Trades” where the threshold did not get surpassed in the next candle.
  • A winning trade on Buy_T> $4,426 that came to target three candles after entry.
  • An open trade that did not reach its target or stop. We set the stop by the red crossbar on the chart.
  • FOREX

The most favored FOREX pair is the EUR/USD. There are multiple ways to participate in the price development, and we share a day trading and swing trading example:

Let the Chart Tell When to Buy or Sell

Summary: What is the basis of your trading decisions, and how do you limit your risk? Explore how decision-making and selected trading strategies can bring the odds in your favor. “if you don’t know why to trade, you will not reach profitability.”

Read on and watch the video.

As a trader, you have choices of the instruments to pick and trade:

  • Stocks (about 1,000 well tradable stocks)
  • Stock Options (about 400 well tradable stock options)
  • Futures (about 20 well tradable futures)
  • FOREX Pairs (about 20 well tradable pairs)

By the numbers, Futures and FOREX traders need to cope with fewer instruments to choose from.

NeverLossTrading Asset Picking

However, there is another dimension to decide what you want to trade, and we best summarize it in a graphic, giving an overview of how we appraise the choices you have as a trader or investor. To do so, we are drafting a portfolio where the size of the bubble represents the relative daily number  of transactions. The graphs axis represents the required knowledge needed to trade the asset and the predictability of a price move to a set target.

Knowledge and Predictability of Asset Classes

Predictability and Knowledge by Asset Class

Stock trading represents the easiest to learn discipline. However, if trading were easy, nobody would ever go to work. It is not, but it is learnable.

With the right choice of stocks to trade, the price movement of this asset class has higher predictability based on repetitive actions by key asset holders. When you focus on stocks with a volume > 1-million shares, you can tune your entries, exits, stops on a penny basis, and you can trade with a negligible risk until you have it right.

Options trading, on the other hand, is the discipline that requires the highest trading know-how and has the lowest predictability, based on:

  • There are several option trading strategies; if we keep it simple in just buying Calls for long positions and Puts to go short, you still have to decide for the time to expiration, the strike price, and if the option price is fair or overstated.
  • You are buying an asset with time decay; when your strategy does not work out, you will still lose time value; even so, the price of the underlying moves in your direction.
  • Depending on the asset you buy an option at, there might be a meager trading volume with a wide bid/ask spread, taking away from your return.
  • When you buy at the wrong price, the price of the underlying option might not go up in the same relation to the price movement of the underlying.

Futures are leveraged products with a wide variety of price moves per tick (minimum price move of the underlying). They are excellent trading products; however, you need to understand minimum price moves to trade for, best trading times, relations to international news announcements and product-specific happenings. As you can see, there is a lot to consider.

FOREX products offer excellent trading opportunities with micro, mini, and full lots. Like in Futures, the dynamics of multiple pairs need to be learned, and aside from the named institutional investors, you have federal banks interfering with the markets, giving you another level of consideration and on the knowledge and predictability base.

In essence: Regardless of the assets you trade, you need to build up your knowledge base on the price developments and patterns to find a way of specifying which type of assets offer you the chance to enter into a potential price move.

In the next dimension, let us discuss risk-limiting trading strategies for those instruments and why this is important.

Successful traders prevent drawdowns by applying strategies that limit their risk. However, by using a stop, you are not necessarily protected against gaps that occur based on news events or when markets are cornered by exceptional trading engagement, as we saw for GME and AMC in 2021.

Adding the risk-limiting dimension produces the following three-dimensional matrix:

Day trading is the best choice for risk-limiting your decisions. If you want to swing trade or hold longer-term assets, you best combine assets with options or trade their options: This is possible for stocks and futures. FOREX traders participate more or less in a 24h market; their most significant risk is when central banks announce decisions to interfere by the monetary decision that might spark FOREX pairs on an instance to the up or downside. An example of this, in 2011, the Swiss Franc currency peg of 1.20 to the Euro came into effect. On January 15, 2015, Switzerland announced that it was going to scrap its peg: The currency for a short period exploded towards major pairs and gave investors with stops a horrible result, on where their stops got filled.

We teach all of these strategies and more in our mentorships:

NeverLossTrading Mentorship Program Elements

NeverLossTrading Mentorship Elements

However, we tailor the mentorship specifically to your wants and needs and the trading styles you choose. You find more specifics on our blog and website. Let us now give you some examples that demonstrate what you want to trade; let the chart tell when to buy or sell.

In the next step, we pick some examples. In recent days, we have had a very high success rate with our indicators; hence, do not be surprised to see mostly winners.

Our goal and focus are high probability setups with a win rate at or above 65%, which will substantially differ from what you most likely decide by while reading this.

You will see that every trade initiated has a clearly defined entry base, target exit, and stop level (or adjustment level). With that, your trade selection and execution are painted on the chart.

This is why we say, trade what you see:

“Let the chart tell when to buy or Sell!”

Next is a chart analysis from the real-time platform.

  1. Stock Examples

Let us pick a day trading example for AAPL. The chart applies what we call the NLT Timeless Concept. Instead of drawing price happening over time, we trade for price changes and with that prevent long candles with unfavorable risk-reward setups:
