Spot and Follow Institutional Money Moves

The price change is the result of a change in supply and demand. Institutional orders dominate more than 85% of all financial markets. We measure with our indicators underlying changes in supply and demand to forecast potential price moves by spelling out the following:

  • Entry conditions (at which price point to buy or sell)
  • Exit conditions (profit take, stop, or trade adjustment)
  • Risk/Reward relations (transacting at favorable conditions only)

Yes, we use and propagate a follower system: The crowd follows the leaders, and we enter directional price move early and leave at a pre-defined point following our pricing model:

NeverLossTrading Price Move Model

At any point, our system dashboard expresses the SPU: Speed unit or forecasted price move as a dollar value and in percent.

SPU Dashboard

The NLT dashboard also qualifies a trend in its strength (blue for up and red for down) and specifies the trade target and where to place the stop. In the example above it was a favorable setup with a $1.3 reward for every dollar of risk you take.

An algorithmic approach we take, to help traders with mechanical instead of discretionary decisions.

There are a few reasons why spotting and following institutional money moves can be beneficial:

  • Predicting Market Trends: Institutions such as hedge funds and mutual funds have access to extensive resources and expertise that allows them to make informed investment decisions. By tracking their moves, you can get an idea of which stocks or sectors they believe are poised for growth or decline, which can help you make more informed investment decisions.
  • Gaining Insight into Company Performance: Institutional investors often have access to private company information and can use that information to make investment decisions. By following their moves, you may be able to gain insights into a company’s performance that are not publicly available.
  • Mitigating Risk: Institutions often invest significant sums of money, and their moves can have a significant impact on a stock’s price. By tracking institutional moves, you can potentially identify and avoid high-risk stocks or sectors.
  • Potential for Higher Returns: Institutions often have the ability to move markets with their investments, which can create opportunities for individual investors to profit from their moves. By following institutional money flows, you may be able to identify undervalued stocks that institutions are accumulating and potentially profit from their eventual rise in price.

Spotting and following institutional money moves can provide valuable insights into market trends, company performance, and potential investment opportunities. However, we never have 100% certainty in trading decisions, but we work with a high probability of> 65%.

Let us start with a top-down approach, analyzing the markets on a higher level of the NeverLossTraidng Alerts:

Weekly Market Analysis For the Week of May 8, 2023

The table shows the S&P 500 with the word change, indicating the price development is in an NLT Purple Zone, as a sign of directional price ambiguity. Hence, longer-term investing with overall market-correlated stocks is not the best investment strategy.

Hence, how to best engage your investment money in such times:

  • Find uncorrelated price movers with buy or sell signals
  • Switch to shorter-term strategies like day trading (opening and closing positions on the same day) or swing trading (holding positions for multiple days)

NLT Top-Line Correlation Study

Here is how it shows on the chart and helps you to make uncorrelated decisions in times of overall directional price ambiguity

MSFT, Weekly NLT Top-Line Chart

After a period of directional ambiguity (NLT Purple Zone), the chart shows how MSFT found a strong buy signal that indicated an uncorrelated or individual price move to the upside. As a result, the system formulated the entry condition: Buy > $283.33 and two targets. You could have participated in the stock price move by buying the stock or with the NLT Delta Force Options Trading concept, which helps you to limit your risk and leverage returns.

The question is: how to find uncorrelated price movers?

The market has 40,000 stocks to trade, and you can always find and follow an independent happening. The NLT Top-Line scanners and Alerts help you to act when it matters.

To spot and follow institutional money moves, you need to be informed of the happening and either operate your analysis or subscribe to an Alert service.

If you are interested, we will send you a week of our swing trading analysis for free:

However, there is one difficulty: putting the spelled-out opportunities into action without proper training might be a challenge.

We offer proper training to our clients, teaching in one-on-one units at your best available days and hours, focusing on your specific wants and needs. Being in business since 2008, we have not had two clients with the same focus on assets, risk tolerance, time for the market, preference in holding open positions, return expectation, account size, investment strategy, etc. So now you know why individual training is much more effective in helping you become the trader you want to be.

Swing trading can have several advantages in times of longer-term directional price ambiguity. Here are a few:

  • Takes advantage of short-term trends: Swing trading is a strategy that involves holding a position for a short period, typically a few days. In times of longer-term price ambiguity, there can still be short-term trends that swing traders can take advantage of. Swing traders use technical analysis to identify momentum-price moves and trends to conduct trades accordingly.
  • Flexibility: Swing trading allows traders to be flexible and adjust their strategies as the market conditions change. In times of longer-term directional price ambiguity, swing traders can adapt to the changing market conditions and take advantage of short-term opportunities that arise.
  • Swing trading typically involves lower risk by setting tighter stops or trade adjustment levels tighter than longer-term investors.
  • Less time commitment: Swing trading allows order execution without being in front of the screen when you operate with buy-stop or sell-stop orders according to your system.
  • Can generate profits in a range-bound market: In times of longer-term directional price ambiguity, the market

may be range-bound, meaning that prices are trading within a specific range. Swing trading can effectively generate profits in this market type by participating in in-range price moves.

We developed specific alerts to find swing trading opportunities.

NLT Swing Trading Alert for May 2, 2023

The table shows four trading opportunities.

MU Daily Chart

The chart showed the confirmed price direction of MU, and the trade came to target on May 5, 2023. Then, on 4/26/23, you saw a swing trade to the upside that met to target on 5/1/23. Finally, on May 2, sellers took over from buyers and created a CIC situation (change in command), a firm trading setup according to our systems.

LOW Swing Trading Opportunity

AMGN Swing Trading Opportunity

The chart for AMGN shows a selling opportunity that arrived on May 2 and led to a short selling opportunity, while the current signal points to the upside. On April 26, the stock had a selling opportunity that came to target, showing how you can swing along with price changes. AMGN was also an uncorrelated price-moving stock.

The potential NLT Swing Signal for AMZN did not print a directional buy or sell signal and, by this, did not provide a  trading opportunity.

AMZN, Swing Trading Opportunity, May 2, 2023

In Summary: Two swing trading opportunities in one day.

If you prefer day trading, we developed a concept that helps traders to find risk-adequate directional solid price moves.

On our NLT Timeless Day trading chart, we use system-defined price increments to specify the start and end of every candle instead of time, helping you multifold:

  • Each setup is in the system-appropriate risk/reward ratio, which is often not given in time-based candles
  • Your entries and stops are less predictable by not following time-based patterns
  • You trade for meaningful minimum price changes of the underlying instead of being eaten up in volatility
  • The system produces multiple trading opportunities in the trading day for all assets

In our first example, we pick a FOREX trade: USD/CAD. You will see two trading opportunities that came to target. In addition, the system specifies a maximum price expansion by a black dot, where we expect counter-action.

USD/CAD NLT Timeless and Trend Catching Chart

On the chart: The first directional indication came on April 25, 2023, and the second on April 28, 2023. Dots on the chart specify the exit, and red crossbars the stop. You operate with buy-stop and sell-stop bracket orders.

The E-Mini S&P 500 Futures contract is a prevalent day trading instrument, and we trade it on two frequencies with the NLT Timeless Concept.

Trading FOREX Pairs NeverLossTrading Style

Forex trading, or foreign exchange trading, is buying and selling currencies in the global market. We share an outlook and concept of how to find and act on high-probability price turning points as a day trader, swing trader, or longer-term investor.

Forex is the world’s largest and most volatile market, with hundreds of currency combinations.

To simplify things, here are the ten favorite NLT FOREX pairs with real-time data streams we keep in focus:

As a FOREX trader, you want to know about global economic events, and here is an overview of weekly news day by day.

By selecting flexible lot sizes, FOREX of all assets offers the highest flexibility to adjust your trading risk and strive for exceptional returns.

How to adjust the lot size?

Imagine you trade for a 400-tick price change, and one tick is worth $1 on a 100,000 lot; at a 50:50 risk to reward, you would risk $400 to make $400. However, if you traded a 10,000 lot, you only risked $40 to make $40. Most brokers allow flexible lot sizes: a 1.5 lot would represent $150,000 of a standard currency.

Depending on where your account is established, brokers reserve a margin between 1:50 (USA) to 1:200 (EU, e.g.) for each FOREX trade. This means: a 100,000 lot, at $1 per tick, can be managed with a $500 or $2,000 margin reserved for each trade. In addition, many brokers allow you to open parallel long and short positions for the same instrument, which allows for trade repair methods we teach in our mentorships: instead of taking the stop-loss, you adjust the trade. The method of trade repair gave us our brand name; however, never stop loss trading was a bit lengthy.

Currencies are always traded in pairs because when you buy or sell one currency, you automatically sell or buy another. Every currency pair has a base currency and a quote currency – the base currency appears first, and the quote currency is to the right of it.

The price displayed for a currency pair represents the amount of the quote currency you will need to spend to purchase one unit of the base currency.

For example, in the EUR/USD currency pair, EUR is the base currency, and USD is the quote currency. If the quoted price was 1.1000, one euro is worth 1.10 US dollars.

The above table mentions the tick value change and value for a 100,000-unit contract. Tick value is the amount of money gained or lost for each incremental movement in the price of an asset. In the context of forex trading, tick value is used to calculate a trade’s profit or loss based on the trade’s size and the number of pips (price increments) gained or lost.

The exchange rate and the trade’s size determine a FOREX tick value. For example, the tick value of a standard lot (100,000 units) of EUR/USD is $1 per pip: meaning that for every pip gained or lost in the price of EUR/USD, the trader would either gain or lose $1, depending on whether they are buying or selling the pair.

Traders need to understand the tick value of the assets they are trading, as it can help them manage their risk and determine their potential profit or loss on a trade. By calculating the tick value, traders can also determine the appropriate position size for their trades based on their risk tolerance and account size.

In a currency pair, the first currency listed is the base currency, and the second is the quote currency

We specify three different types of Forex pairs:

  • Majors
  • Commodity currencies
  • Cross currencies

Major currencies fulfill the highest number of transactions. Therefore, considering access to data streams and bid/ask spreads, we list AUD/JPY, AUD/USD, EUR/USD, GBP/USD, EUR/GBP, USD/JPY, USD/CHF, and USD/CAD.

Commodity currencies constitute currency pairs that have a value closely tied to a commodity, such as oil, coal, or iron ore. The commodity currencies included in this list are AUD/USD and USD/CAD.

Cross currencies are currency pairs that do not include the US dollar. Two cross-currency pairs with high involvement are EUR/GBP and EUR/JPY.

EUR/USD is the most traded currency pair, with EUR/USD a participation rate of 24.0% of daily forex trades. The high daily volume of EUR/USD transactions ensures that the pair has a lot of liquidity which generally results in tight spreads. Liquidity and tight spreads are enticing for traders because large trades transact with little impact on the market.

Time-based candles can extend above and beyond the system-set maximum risk/reward balance. To cope with this, we developed the NLT Timeless Concept, which only looks at incremental price changes and disregards time.

EUR/USD Timeless NLT Day Trading Chart

The chart shows multiple trade examples, consisting of:

  • Buy/sell price threshold for setting order entries
  • Dots on the chart signify the target
  • The stop is at a red crossbar
  • Colored channels signify the time of the day supply and demand price levels

We teach the details in our training program.

The advantages of NLT Timeless Trading are:

  • You act at high probability price turning points, not apparent to most market participants.
  • Candles form by system-defined price increments. When a specified price increment concludes, a new candle starts. This way, you are not trading at apparent support and resistance levels and are much less predictable.
  • Every trade indication is acceptable with a pre-specified risk-to-reward level, bringing the odds in your favor
  • You have the chance to trade multiple times during a day, either with a slower and a faster pace price change
  • We offer two chart types for day traders fast pace and regular pace. In addition, swing traders and longer-term investors are provided with timeless charts, helping them to cut higher price moves into risk-adequate units.
  • When trading the market, you do not want to be transparent in your acting, and we are helping you to trade along with significant price moves but always risk adequately.

We could add more advantages, but following the Pareto principle, what we shared covers 80%. FOREX trading has no fees, but to cover the bid/ask spread of the trade, our timeless system provides a solid concept that allows entering a trade at a specific threshold, where risk and reward can be entered at the click. Here is an example of EUR/USD fast pace trade on an NLT Timeless Chart. Trades lasted two to twelve minutes.

EUR/USD Timeless NLT Day Trading Chart Fast Pace

Please feel invited to check if you could have followed the indicated directional price move proposal.

If you took a mechanical approach,  you had eight trading opportunities, and seven worked in the supported direction.

Our students also learn that the less trading is more concept is – = +, where you strive for a set weekly budget.

If trading were easy, nobody would ever go to work; however, we work with our students on mental and emotional changes toward financial decisions. A life-changing experience is ahead of you. First, however, please consider what Albert Einstein shared with us: Insanity is when you do the same over, expecting a different result. Hence, if you are ready for a change, set up a demo:

Indeed, our concept works for all asset classes; we picked FOREX in this publication today; however, you can find other examples at Blogger or WordPress.

EUR/USD Timeless Swing Trading Chart

Swing trading EUR/USD, we hold open positions between one and five days and follow the same chart principles. Please check the most recent price move indications and decide if they indicated critical price turning points, where the dot on the chart works as a target and the red crossbar as a stop.

We teach you in one-on-one sessions how to master our concepts, and you learn to analyze trade situations on the spot by letting the chart tell when to buy or sell.

Trading requires an investment in knowledge and skills. Therefore, we offer software and training programs ranging from $2,500 to $15,000. Many NLT clients buy more than one program to increase participation rate and accuracy; however, each program works as a stand-alone or in conjunction with another.

Trading success requires discipline, patience, and a solid, high-probability system. It is also crucial to have a well-defined trading plan and to stick to it, even when the market gets volatile.

Trade and Invest Mind-Based – Not Emotional

We are all driven by emotions; however, when it comes to trading and investing, you should give yourself rules on which you act and not believes.
Intro NeverLossTrading Rule Based Decision Making
What are the dominant emotions driving private investors? Fear and Greed.

The fear of losing, paired with the greed of missing out on an opportunity.

When the Bitcoin was on the hype, I had many who asked for a quick tip – and my answer was: stay out; when the average person starts knowing about an opportunity, it is over and somebody needs to buy at the high – let it not be you.

On a recent advertisement for a trading system that is around since long, the following trade proposal was propagated for AAPL, trading with Vertical Put-Spreads:
  • Maximum profit: $1,100
  • Maximum loss: $1,900
When we calculate the outcome based on different probabilities over 10-trades, you will immediately see that the odds are not much in your favor, even so, the trade was proposed based on the idea that you make money if the share price goes up, moves slightly down, or goes sideways.

10 TradesWin/Loss 50:50 60:40 65:35
Reward1100-4000-1000500
Risk1900

Sure, AAPL is a great company with products we love, but we want to encourage you: stop falling in love or being emotional with investments. At a 65% probability to predict the future, you should not only reach breakeven, you should make money!

A simple basic rule for making money trading: The odds of the trade setup need to be in your favor and you need a system that helps you to predict the future with a high probability.

There are not risk-free trades, and the idea that you can find trades that have a more than two-times the reward, compared to the risk to take, are rare: about 5% to 10% of the opportunities we record. Hence, you are doomed to somewhere trade in the area of a 1:1 reward/risk.

How to make money this way?

By following a system that gives you high probability trade setups ≥ 65%, applying clear cut money management and risk management rules.

Sounds simple, doesn’t it?

It all starts with a system that records the price action of now and proposes when money is flowing in or out of an asset. For you to be part of the directional move, the system shall measure the potential price expansion, the statistical volatility (where to place the stop) and the maximum time in the trade: rule-based trading and investing.

The following examples show, how we initiate trades with buy-stop orders or sell-stop orders when the formulated price threshold is surpassed: Sell<0 .7836="" a="" additional="" apply="" at="" available="" best="" by="" candle.="" chart.="" development="" dot="" e.g.="" find="" gray="" in="" is="" next="" of="" on="" one-on-one="" p="" price="" red-cross-bars.="" rules="" stop="" surely="" target="" teach="" the="" times.="" we="" which="" your="">
AUD/USD NeverLossTrading TrendCatching Example

Each of the highlighted trade situations allowed for an about 25 pip price move to target at a similar risk.

Let us demonstrate rule-based trading on a stock example:

AAPL NeverLossTrading Daily TrendCatching Chart
AAPL March 12, 2018.png
In five trade situations, we had four winning trades and one loss: high probability!

At each situation, the trade target was formulated and so was the stop. Only trades that were according to our reward/risk rule were accepted.

When you want to learn rule-based trading, we are happy to work on a live demonstration with you, where you can experience how our systems work at your preferred assets and time frames.
